How it works

Everything you need, in about three minutes. No account, no password, nothing to install.

The idea

In one paragraph.

One person creates a room and shares a link. Everyone who opens that link marks the times they're free. The app compares everyone's answers and shows the times that suit the most people. That's the whole thing.

Nobody needs an account. There's no signing up, no password to forget, and no app to download. If you can open a link, you can use it.

Setting up a room

Do this once, if you're the one organising.

  1. Open the app and tap "Get started"

You'll land on a short form.

  2. Choose what you're planning

A meeting for something within one week, picked by the hour. A trip or event to compare whole days. Something longer for weeks, or Rough planning for months. This changes what everyone is asked, so pick the one that matches.

  3. Say when to look, and how long you need

For a holiday you might search the next 6 months and need 10 days. The app then hunts for a 10-day stretch that works for everyone.

  4. Give it a name and enter yours

The emoji is optional — skip it if you'd rather.

  5. Tap "Generate room" and share the link

Use the Copy button and paste it into WhatsApp, a text, or an email. Anyone with that link can join.

Keep the link somewhere safe. It's the only way back into your room. There's no "my rooms" list to look it up, so send it to yourself as well.

Joining a room

For everyone who's been sent a link.

  1. Tap the link

It opens straight in your browser. Nothing to install.

  2. Put your name in

Your real name so people know who's who — or tap one of the suggested aliases like Purple Fox if you'd rather stay anonymous.

  3. Mark when you're free

Tap the times, days, weeks or months that suit you. Drag your finger across several to select a run of them in one go. Tap again to unselect.

  4. That's it — it saves itself

There's no "submit" button. Everything saves as you go, and you can come back and change your mind whenever you like.

What the colours mean

On the availability screen.

Solid green — you're free The times you've chosen.
Faint green — other people are free The stronger the tint, the more of the group can make it. Handy for spotting where everyone is already agreeing.
Orange outline — public holiday Bank holidays, Tynwald Day and so on. Hold your finger on it to see which.
Plain — nobody's free yet Or you haven't chosen it.

Reading "Best times"

Where the answer appears.

Tap Best times at the top. You'll see the options ranked, best first, with a on the winner. The number on the right — like 4/5 — means four out of five people can make it. The list updates by itself as people reply.

Above it, the Participants list shows who's answered and who you're still waiting on. Green means done, amber means pending.

Not seeing anything useful? Usually it means not enough people have replied yet, or the stretch of time you asked for is longer than anyone's free run. Give people a nudge, or shorten what you're asking for.

Common questions

The ones people actually ask.

I closed the tab. Have I lost everything?

No. Open the same link again and you'll go straight back in, with everything you marked still there. If it does ask who you are, tap your name under "Been here before?" and you'll pick up exactly where you left off.

It says my name is already taken.

That's you, from last time. Tap your name under "Been here before?" rather than typing it in again.

Can I change my answer?

Yes, any time. Go to Availability and tap to add or remove. It saves instantly.

I typed my name wrong.

On the Availability screen, tap "Not you?" next to your name, then rejoin with the right one.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes — phone, tablet or computer, and everyone can use something different. On a phone, tap the squares rather than dragging if that's easier.

How long does a room last?

Whatever the organiser chose when they set it up — a day, a week, or up to a year. The Room tab shows a countdown. After that it's deleted along with everyone's answers.

What's the "travel time buffer"?

Only for hour-by-hour rooms. If you need half an hour to get there and back, set it to 30 minutes and you'll only be counted as free if you've got that time spare on either side.

Who can see my answers?

Anyone with the room link. It only ever holds the name you typed and the times you picked — no email, no phone number, nothing else.

Ready?

That's genuinely all of it.
